Say Goodbye to Boring Breakfasts

Although there are claims that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, at Foodtrainers we put the importance on meal choices. When it comes to breakfast, it is most important to eat it within 2 hours of waking up, and it should be high in protein.

Studies show that a high-protein breakfast leads to increased feelings of fullness and curbed calories throughout the day. Our favorite basic breakfasts are Siggi's yogurts, smoothies, and omega-3 eggs, but below we share some intersting ideas to get you back on breakfast.

2. Vegetable Hash with Poached Egg

If you find yourself with a medley of produce in the fridge, from the likes of half used onions and already sauteed spinach, throw it all together like this vegetable hash. We choose poached omega-3 eggs to top it with.

I was discussing my love of coconut with my friend Ava. Ava suggested this concoction she had while vacationing in Bali. Ava's Balinese Breakfast combines leftover brown rice with coconut milk, a dash of agave, and a sprinkle of cardamom.

9. Better Breakfast Parfait

Inline Image

Don't do it, don't reach for those premade parfaits at coffee shops and airports. The yogurt is heavily sweetened, the "fruit" swimming in syrup, and the granola? Not the good kind. Make your own using  Siggi's or Fage plain yogurt. Layers of fresh berries, papaya, or mango. Sprinkle stingily with Feed Granola or Mulberries.

Another way to enjoy eggs loaded with vegetables, without resorting to a tired omelet. Prepare these in ramekins and bake.
